Battleground or Playground?

How Should Christians view the world: battleground or playground? this 1-minute devotion answers that questions using Scripture. #BibleLoveNotes #Bible

"Men think of the world not as a battleground, but as a playground"  ~A.W. Tozer (1)

God fills our lives with so many blessings, and He wants us to enjoy them, but we need to remember that we're in a battle against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12).

Our purpose on earth is to do God's will, to share the Good News, and to prepare our hearts for heaven (Hebrews 11:13-16).

And we can expect resistance.

That's why we need to focus on the good fight, not the good life:
1. Submitting to God and resisting Satan (James 4:7).
2. Being alert and standing firm (1 Peter 5:8-9).
3. Putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:11).
4. Remembering that the desires of this world pass away (1 John 2:17).

There are many blessings to enjoy in this life, but we must never forget it's our battleground, not our playground.

    1. Thank you, Tesha, for your kind comments. I'm so glad I found your lovely blog and so glad you found mine! Actually, one of the blogs on my profile is one I'm temporarily helping a friend set up (Elder Orphan Care) and the WOW blog is one I edit...so I don't write all the content for it. But it does keep me busy with grandkids and other fun things to do!

  2. Love Tozer's words of wisdom. Thanks for posting them. God does give us "all things richly to enjoy" while on this earth, but more to live for than playing on a playground!

  3. Glory to God. Our God is so great that though its 1 min devotion, it's impact is so powerful like a 1 hour sermon. It's truly helpful to revive again for Christ.
