We apologize for this extra step, but this devotion from 2012 was updated and is now located at the link below. We pray that this devotion will encourage you!
Wow, great reminder and (not a surprise) at the best needed time! My husband and I are facing lots of uncertainties with jobs, housing, etc. so this is a good reminder. Thank you!
I,too, needed this, Gail! Been in limbo for about(moving to a new house)3 years now. Sometimes that gets draining.(I can't imagine not having a home for 40 years!) I know that God has a plan, but sometimes I just wish I knew the plan, too. Trusting in the unknown is the hardest. Thanks for sharing this!!
I guess in some ways this entire life is one long detour, isn't it? I have a goal of a heavenly home, but there are (apparently) many things yet to do along the way...
I'm thankful for the many times in Scirpture we are told of how the Lord took them by another route. Reminded He knows what He is doing and sees the whole picture. Thanks for writing and linking up. You're posts are always great!
Detours, boy have I had them in abundance?! but now I am in a position to appreciate them and see them for what they are, God's redirecting my life. So many times I've been so sure of the way to then find myself in a radically unexpected detour only to figure out later that it was all part of God's perfect plan for me. Thanks for the post. Have a blessed day!
First of all that pictue is precious! Secondly what a great reminder that He has our best interest in mind and is in control.

Love the pic and the message. I am on a perpetual pause it seems...well God is very busy working patience and perseverance in me.
