The Bible Begins With a Divorce

The Bible begins with man rejecting God, Larry Crabb, the Bible is about God wooing us back to Himself
“The Bible is a love story that begins with a divorce. Everything from the third chapter of Genesis through the end of Revelation is the story of a betrayed lover wooing us back into His arms so we can enjoy the love of family forever.” Dr. Larry Crabb, 66 Love Letters

God placed Adam and Eve in a perfect garden…no sickness, stress, death or sadness. Imagine being perfectly made, in a perfect environment with a perfect spouse and getting to talk to God each evening.

God couldn’t have given them anything more.

But they believed a ridiculous lie about Him and betrayed Him for a piece of fruit. And every time you and I sin, we follow in their footsteps.

But we have a God who continues to woo us back into His arms so we can enjoy Him in eternity.
“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us” 1 John 3:1
Let’s ponder God’s love today.

We are all sinners and no one, can say that he or she is perfect. Praise God for His never ending love to us. This is short but very meaningful! Thank you for sharing this!
