How God Views Careers

Do you know how God rates careers? You need to hear this....it's important.

Did you know that God is an equal-opportunity employer?

What you do as a stay-at-home mom, a businessman or a waitress is just as important to God as the work of a pastor or missionary.

God calls us to different tasks.

The person who is changing diapers is just as important and just as accountable to God as the one translating the Bible into another language. The man sweeping floors and the woman meeting with the president both have equal opportunity to be faithful to God’s call on their lives.

God isn’t impressed with our job description—He is impressed with our faithfulness.

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Colossians 3:23-24)

Today let’s ask God to help us do everything with Him in mind…diligently, prayerfully, honestly, wisely…as His representatives.

  3. This hit me right where I am. My focus has been redirected to raising my grand children as work unto God, not man. I can no longer grumble and be upset about the task, or because they don't want to cooperate..my job is to lean and depend on God, prayerfully and follow the Holy Spirit; seek Him and His Word daily. God bless

  4. After suffering a job lost for being true and faithful to our Creator this statement is just what I needed to hear. Today I wait on an answer but I know I did the right thing. Following God's word. Being honest and trustworthy in a workplace that felt it was ok because "everyone does it". We are being called as Christians to do His work and not be tempted by Satan

  6. I'm 22 and I am stuck between pursuing my fitness where I believe and know that is where God wants to take me, whereas I feel the worldly pressures to apply for jobs in something that I know will not yield God's will. Amen to trusting Him in times of uncertainty. This is something I needed to hear.
