Faith And Bones

Joseph’s last recorded words are faith-filled.

When he died, he asked his relatives to take his bones with them WHEN God led them out of Egypt.

At that point in time, the Jews were content in Egypt and life was good for them there. Yet Joseph knew that God had set them apart for Himself and He would give them a land of their own.

Joseph was one of those faithful saints commended in Hebrews “Hall of Faith” (11:22). He had “the confident assurance” that what he hoped for was going to happen –he believed in things he couldn’t see (Hebrews 11:1).

Faith isn't what we see...it's what we don't see...but what we will see.

Is your faith wavering in some area because you aren’t seeing results? Hold on to the confident assurance that God will do what He promises!

  1. Excellent point you make - when as apposed to if! Could learn (should learn) something from that statement alone. Great post
